Jika Shield Ladder at Xmas:
Rivergum CC have once again proven to be the team to beat. Only 2 losses to Xmas and an outright victory sets them up for a run at another finals series. All this with Bramich, Altis and Young missing from the Bowling crease for the majority of the 1st part of the season.
Holy Trinity’s young team seem to be ready to take the next step and with a draw that see’s them play all the teams around them after Xmas they will now be satisfied only with the double chance.
Preston Baseballers & Heidelberg West, the 2 B Grade cowboy sides have given a good account of themselves so far. With Andrew Boughton at Baseballers and Joel Kannegiesser at West in great form, these Clubs can now look at playing Finals if they can bat 80 overs. The return of Brett Mcdonald together with Greg JohnBoy Camilleri not wasting 40 overs with the bat and instead getting out in the 1st couple has helped West win their last two.
Rosebank are itching for some 2 day Cricket to return where there can play the style of game that suits them. Definitely not to be written off.
After surviving relegation Keon Park are concentrating on youth and are not far away from seeing Finals action again in A Grade.
Lalor have bounced back after a player shortage and have won their last 3 games.
Northern Socials have lost players and depth and will hoping to somehow string some games together after Xmas to avoid relegation.
