Date of Event North Metro Cricket Association: Tue Jan 14, 2020 11:03PM

Congratulations to our U14 Rep team on making it through to the Semi Finals on Thursday.

Another great win today against Box Hill - NMCA 5/156 defeated Box Hill all out for 58.

The stars were;

Isaac Prestney ret no 45

Jack Morley ret no 45

Will Hanlon 21

Harry Smith 3/8

Jack Bell 3/9

Tom Sweetman 3 catches

We now play SECA at Kelynak Reserve on Thursday 16 January.

Unfortunately the U12s and U16s bowed out of the carnival today but both teams had a successful campaign and should be proud of their efforts.

The U12s lost their Quarter Final - NMCA 62 defeated by Mornington 81. An incredible performance in the field with 5 run outs and 4 catches gave us every chance but Mornington's bowlers were hard to get away and we struggled to get a partnership going.

Thanks to our coach Simon Reid, team manager Cameron Kenny and everyone else that helped during the carnival. A special thanks to Rosebank CC for hosting our home matches.

Our best performers;

Ben Lyons 3 run outs

Paul Sweetman 2/2

Seb Price 14 and 2 catches

Ned Reid 12

The U16s came up against the undefeated West Gippsland and it was always going to be a tough ask. West Gippsland batted first and posted a big score of 4-205 in just 30 overs. Our boys were not disgraced in the run chase, ending our innings at 6/159.

Thanks to our coach Andy Pardalis, team manager/assistant coach Paul Bamford, Mandy Williamson, young Joel for helping with scoring, and everyone else that helped during the carnival. A special thanks to Preston Baseballers CC for hosting our home matches.

Our best performers;

Patrick Davies 73 ret no

Lachie Bamford 39 & 2/30
