COBRAS CRICKET CLUB - SENIOR COACH POSITION 2021/22 SEASON
The Cobras Cricket Club is seeking applications for the position of Senior Coach (playing or nonplaying) for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
The Cobras Cricket Club is affiliated with the North Metro Cricket Association (NMCA) and is located at CT Barling Reserve, Plenty Rd, Reservoir. The club currently comprises 3 men’s Senior teams. The First Eleven competes in the Jika Shield (A Grade).
The Club is an amalgamation of Clelands, Oakhill and Bell Ramblers cricket clubs and was formed in 2004. CT Barling Reserve is a lovely open outdoor setting and has relatively new change rooms and social rooms. We aim to provide a family orientated environment that is inclusive.
The club has previously had a Milo Cricket program, junior teams and a men’s veteran’s team. The club is planning to grow for season 2021/22, to include a women’s team a Cricket Blast program, possible lower age juniors, veteran’s side.
Knowledge of Cricket- technical and tactical.
Minimum coaching accreditation: Community Coach-(Level 1). (Community Coach accreditation can be arranged)
Strong communication and people skills with an ability to engage people of varying age, culture, and cricket experience.
Previous experience as a senior coach, coaching director or supporting coach.
An ability to improve the cricketing skills of all players.
Organisation and coordination of training sessions, including preseason.
Set and achieve goals with the senior playing groups.
Providing clear instruction and feedback to individuals where required.
A willingness to embrace and develop the club’s on and off field culture.
Attendance to club functions.
Remuneration is negotiable, dependent on: experience, qualifications, and having the ability to assist with the implementation of Cricket Blast and a junior program.
